I’ve mentioned before how I’ve enjoyed ESPN’s 30 For 30 series. Their latest film is one that is near and dear to me, Four Days In October. It chronicles the Red Sox comeback against the Yankees in 2004. Here’s a preview for the film.

Watching this brought back a lot of memories from that time period. Consecutive late nights watching the Red Sox win, win, win, and then win. I was on edge the entire day of Game 7.

The film also reminded me why I cheered for a number of these players. Over the years, it’s easy to forget what they did on their march to the World Series. Since then, players have been traded, released, retired, signed elsewhere, accused of PED use, maligned and more. But that 2004 season was special, and the players that made that championship season possible deserve recognition for what they did.
