Some items that I would like to expound upon more, but don’t have the time to do so.

  • The license plate debate is annoying, but more annoying are the four *finalists* for the license plate. (click here)
  • How much of a mess would it have been if former Senator John Edwards had won the 2008 Iowa caucuses? The discussion about that what if scenario, and Elizabeth Edwards recent actions, was dumbfounding to the panel on last Sunday’s This Week With George Stephanopoulos.
  • There is no way Gov. Sarah Palin is the most articulate voice in conservatism at the moment, as Rush Limbaugh thinks. (click here)
  • I live in Omaha, and it is the best. (click here)
  • Stats are coming to light that Manny Ramirez may have been using PED’s to try and cash in on a new contract. So maybe he wasn’t using when he was with the Red Sox. (click here) Oh well, if he was using PED’s during the Red Sox run between 2004 through 2007, I don’t think it ruins it for me at this point. I’m numb to it all and have accepted the fact that a majority of baseball players were using some sort of PED during the late 90’s and early part of this decade.
  • How porn runs the world (click here)
  • I heard Chris Connolley say awhile back, on Bill Simmons podcast, that the Boomer Generation refuses to leave the stage. This sentiment was echoed by Anna Quindlen and led her to step aside from her column at Newsweek. (click here)
  • The recent mayoral elections were a referendum on Hal Daub, which is amazing since he has been out of office for eight years. You would have thought he was the incumbent.
  • Lost has a lot of hype and expectation to meet as it heads into its final season. Can it pull off what J.K. Rowling did with the last installment in the Harry Potter series and exceed unfathomable expectations?
  • Spiritual Eroticism. Need I say more to get you to click the link? (click here)
